Serving God At New Hope

Jesus told us, as his disciples, to “Go and make disciples of all nations”. One of the most important values of New Hope Baptist Church is our mission to the world. It begins in our own community, and spreads overseas to every nation. At New Hope you have the opportunity to be involved in a variety of ministries including local community outreach, international mission trips, Operation Christmas Child, preparing meals for those who are home-bound, craft projects, sewing and other things which support the effort to “make disciples”…

Hiz Kidz Ministries

We believe in pouring into our children at New Hope. Our ministry to children begins in our nursery and preschool departments with faithful and dedicated volunteers who provide friendly faces, faithful teaching and stability as our youngest learners begin their discipleship process. Once our children reach elementary age they have dynamic classes with caring and devoted teachers. We have vibrant activities on Sundays and Wednesdays for boys and girls to learn about God’s love for them and others in tangible ways!

Music & Drama

God-honoring worship is something we strive for at New Hope. Many church members get involved in our music and drama ministry. Some play their instruments. Some are vocalists. Others are involved in the choir. Still others get involved in the Tupos Drama Team. These volunteers are an important part of the ministry of our church, using their talents and gifts to glorify God.

Mission Outreach

New Hope is thrilled to be part of the spread of God’s kingdom around the world. We have two missionary families who are uniquely tied to our faith family and whom we support with our money and with our prayers. Pray with us for the Bradley’s serving in Prague, Czech Republic and the Marsh’s serving in Granada, Nicaragua.  Each year, we send resources from our church to support the work in Nicaragua as it lends to practical projects and evangelistic outreach supporting the growth of the local churches doing the work reaching the people. The Bradley’s work in Prague differs as there is little evangelical influence and church plants are in the infancy stages and are now beginning to blossom and replicate. We encourage all of our people to respond to God’s call for laborers, whether it means that they move to a foreign country or live and minister in our own community.

Operation Christmas Child

New Hope Baptist church is very involved in the Operation Christmas Child (OCC) ministry of Samaritan’s Purse. For us this is a year round ministry of gathering supplies, making gifts, and preparing to pack shoe boxes which contains gifts and most importantly: the gospel! Our church also functions as a Relay Center gathering shoe boxes from our entire county and community for transport to distribution centers. We are privileged to host OCC events throughout the year and several of our church family travel each year to Boone, North Carolina to participate in the preparing of the shoe boxes for their final destinations! This is a great missions opportunity anyone can be involved in no matter their age or stage in life!

TUPOS Student Ministries

Who We Are = Tupos (?????) is a Greek noun with a double meaning in English.  Tupos means (1) to be an example or a pattern for, and (2) to make an impact on or leave an impression on another.  Our desire as a ministry is to teach students to be an example and make an impact for Christ in this world.  This word is rooted in the theme verse for this ministry, found in 1 Timothy 4:12, which reads “Let no one look down on your youthfulness, but rather in speech, conduct, love, faith and purity, show yourself an example of those who believe.” (NASB).

Our goal is to be both an example and an impact by reaching, teaching, and ministering to students as we use our own students to, in turn, reach, teach and minister to others. These students help oversee leadership teams like our Worship Team, our Drama Team, various service projects, outreach events, etc., that give them the opportunity to actually be a “tupos”.

What We Do =  If you are looking to engage in a Tupos event for the first time, our Wednesday night service (Wednesday Night Live) begins with dinner in the Fellowship Hall at 6:00 p.m. The Rec. Center also opens at 6 p.m. for game time (basketball, tennis, corn hole, etc…). The Wednesday Night Live service begins at 7:00 p.m. with a game, and then moves into the Sanctuary for several songs and a message from our youth pastor. On Sunday mornings we have a Sunday School class for middle school students and high school students at 9:45 a.m.  We have a minimum of one fellowship event and one outreach event a month and enjoy serving God and spending time together in beautiful Wauchula, Florida!

Why We Do What We Do = Our purpose in life is to glorify God and enjoy His grace. The purpose of Tupos is to bring God glory by reaching, teaching, and ministering to and through students. If you’re reading this, we would love for you or your student to join us in this pursuit, for His glory alone.

Prayer Warriors

Prayer cannot be overestimated, it is the engine which drives the church. Prayer gives us access directly to God, to be heard by Him and most importantly to hear God. Our Church is a body of believers dependent upon prayer, and committed to God’s sovereignty. We have a dedicated team of Prayer warriors who can be reached 24 hours a day. We have a large team, who with the aid of modern technology receive text messages to set the wheels of prayer in motion wherever and whenever prayer is needed. Each Wednesday, the church comes together for a special time of prayer and Bible study.
